Why I Teach
There were many personal challenges over the past year as the 2010 MA Teacher of the Year but summarizing why I teach in a few short minutes was really hard. Then explaining it live on camera (without any notes!) and learning to edit my own video was a true challenge. As I look at the final product today, I am proud to share it it as it epitomizes my pedagogy. I am truly humbled to read all the reasons why my fellow STOYs teach. If only every teacher in America had the chance to say why they teach. I daresay the public would be astonished by the love, devotion and commitment we would find in their words.
